Lisa Shreve is my favorite kind of editor because she is a true collaborator. Everything is off the table except how to make the film better. Strong opinions but open minded – respectful of my choices as director. Lisa cut “Sex Workers or Victims” with me, a film about American teens in the US sex trade – she cuts with lot of authority which was perfect for an investigative film. This film won the 2009 Gracie Award for Outstanding Documentary Medium Length format. It was part of Oxygen’s “Who Cares About Girls” series hosted by Lisa Ling.
